Welcome to the Essex Book Festival!
The 2011 Essex Book Festival is now over. We hope you managed to get to all the events you wished to attend!
Yet again we had a sell - out programme of events across Essex featuring famous authors, new authors and many authors in between. Many of you commented on the quality of the events with their excellent, inspiring and informative speakers; and many also said they loved the informal nature of the events- so all in all another excellent Festival!
The Essex Book Festival will be changing in 2012 in order to give it independent status that would offer a whole range of benefits, not least the opportunity for its development to be guided directly by local people.Events held in libraries will still be the core of the Festival but the new Board of Directors will bring skills and ideas to build on the foundations and make the Festival programme more exciting next year!
